Control Union Industrial Inspections USA has gained authority as a Designated Approval Agency by the United States Department of Transportation to conduct new manufacture & periodic testing services on UN Portable Tanks, as well periodic testing for IMO 101/102 tanks.
The approval process extended almost a year, involving both management system and field audits, along with specialized hazardous material training for US personnel.
US Manager, Donnie Bowen III, who spearheaded the project, gives credit to the CUII tank container team. “We are delighted to build upon our global tank container expertise, by now offering regulatory periodic testing services to the US Tank Container market, while expanding our government service capabilities as an agency-approved inspection authority.”
