Control Union prolongs and extends DNV-GL NDT approval
Even in these challenging times, the importance of certified and approved services remains vital. This is why Control Union has been working with DNV-GL on a remote assessment for continuation and extension of the current NDT approval based on class program DNVGL-CP-0484.
Recently this remote audit was performed and we are happy and proud to announce the assessment went very successful and without any non-compliance. In addition to that the approval (previously covering for visual, MPI, Dye Pen, Eddy Current and Ultrasonic) was further extended to cover for all UT Phased Array services and many engineers of sister company ITS were included in the approval as well. Also the already approved procedures for drilling topdrive shaft inspection and bolt/stud inspection with UT Phased Array are now also included in our companies approval. This NDT approval sits beside our approval for Ultrasonic Thickness Surveys on classed vessels with DNV-GL (and also ABS).
We would like to thank DNV-GL for their flexibility and efforts to make this happen on short notice as well as our QHSE and Technical support department for their efforts during these challenging times.
