Control Union Industrial Inspections has obtained DNV and Lloyds approvals for D2 Commissioning Testing of Ballast Water Management Systems

Following earlier approval by the American Bureau of Shipping, Control Union Industrial Inspections was recently audited and approved by both DNV and Lloyds Register for Commissioning Testing of Ballast Water Management Systems in accordance with the latest updates of BWM.2/Circ.70/Rev.1.

The Commissioning Testing services are performed by Control Union Industrial Inspections, and form part of a full scope of services offered to the maritime industry by Petersons’ Vessel Performance Centre (VPC). Paul Jacob Bins, managing director of the VPC comments: “This further confirms our position as one of the leading service suppliers regarding ballast water management systems and in general to the maritime industry. With a wide scope of services, we are becoming a one stop shop for our global maritime clients. Moreover, through our unique process and preparation of each project, we achieve a  project success rate of 95% for completing our compliant sampling service on the agreed date.
