On June 21st an important milestone was achieved with Control Union Industrial Inspections (CUII); 10 years of working without a 'Lost Time Incident'.
A 'Lost Time Incident' is when a work related injury causes an employee not being able to be at work for 3 or more days, of which the last occurrence for CUII was in June 2007. Over the years, Industrial Inspections has worked hard to continuously update its global safety systems (according to OHSAS18001) and train staff in accordance with the latest safety developments and available safety equipment.
While working in an offshore and industrial environment, risks are always just around the corner and CUII relies on its staff, safety procedures and processes to ensure everybody arrives back home safely, which is the most important thing after all. On the other side, safety is always on the top of the agenda of every customer meeting, tender process and industry gatherings.
On June 21st, it was celebrated with all staff that we achieved this milestone together. A personal message from CUII Managing Director Ron Winands was distributed and all received a nice remembrance of this important day. In addition, all staff has been given special iron-on patches for the sleeves of their coveralls and clothing, showing this important milestone to all during work.
